Thiago has been three for some time now. He literally reads books - I am not exagerrating, but this kid is super smart :) He is a joker like his papi. He is really into the solar system and its practically all he talks about.

We have been in New Jersey for one full year as I finished an MPA program in NYC. Thiago has adapted to his new environment smoothly. I'm more excited to have him experience the diversity the city has to offer and sledding in the winter! However, he didn't take full advantage of last winter as I thought he would. Again he had just turned 2. Currently, he is enamored with the solar system. Actually, we just installed all the planets in his room. Thiago is funny, loving and sweet, but at the same time he is at that stage of tantrums and yelling - not fun. Everytime he sees an elderly he says Abuelo or Abuela. He is starting to read a lot more and has an amazing memory. Below are some pics of his development this year - he will be 3 on November 2nd.

Thiago is REALLY smart. I am not just saying that - he memorizes things quickly and even my sister who is an elementary educator - said Thiago knows more than her kindergarten class. I am not bragging - but this is another reason that parents of preemies need to have hope for their babies. Thiago had a 35% survival rate when he was born and seeing his progress and crave for knowledge is like I always say AMAZING!

Here are a few shots of Thiago on his birthday - he loves Yo Gabba Gabba - and for those that don't know me, I love attention to detail. Thiago continues to develop smoothly. His verbal communication is the most shocking to us. He sings the entire alphabet, recognizes and says all capital and lower case letters, he counts up to ten in English and Spanish and he know about 100 words (mostly Spanish). He is moslty says I love you, I'm sorry, stop it, Agua, Vamonos, Adios Mi Amor, Mami and Papi, Wow, and Vente. When he farts he says Eewwww - LOL. He even said once when he was half asleep. He loves books and takes off running when he hears any of us say book - he even sits on our head to get us reading to him. His love for learning is so very cool to experience.

For those that still log on every once in a while to check on his progress - Thiago is a full blown toddler and now lives in Jersey City! I think this is a perfect little town for him - totally diverse and full of adventures all over - only minutes from NYC. Its hard looking back at this blog and seeing everything he's been through - makes us really proud of him. He will be turning two years old next week. He loves Yo Gabba Gabba and repeats everything!

Thiago says Bubbles, Carlito (my sister's doggie), asks for agua (water) I say uno, he says dos - his language preference seems to be Spanish - which is AWESOME!!

Thiago at school - snack time. Don't be fooled - he only sits for a split second and then he is off to explore. His gross motor skills (wants to touch, move, feel everything!!!) are being used at a speed that nobody can keep up with him! Can you believe Thiago at school :)
