Thiago's belly became a bit discolored and bloated yesterday - to be extremely cautious he has been taken off the feedings and put on antibiotics. This is very common in preemies because their digestive system is still very immature - so when introduced to breast milk or formula they are more susceptible for infections and serious digestive issues. He had an x-ray done of his abdomen last night and it is not perforated - he will continue to get x-rays for the next couple of days until his blood results come back. Please pray that this is just a small set back and that he can get back on his feedings ASAP. Other than that he had both of his eyes open last night! I got so emotional - I love him more than ever. His body is so tiny and sooooooooo cute! He pooped a speck last night :)
David has been my other blessing through all this. I know a few people mentioned these are trying times for us and I have to thank God for the man he placed in my life. Although David was faced with the horrific week we had last week and has had to look at his baby boy struggle to make it out alive, he has been my rock! He deserves acknowledgement for his perseverance, strength and love that he has provided both Thiago and I, as well as my family. I love you David!!!
I also would like to thank all my friends - please don't make me list each of you :) and family that have been constantly checking in on me. It has been such an emotional rollercoaster for us (like Aileen said - to say the least) and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of people that have been following up with Thiago and I. I would like to thank Stacey for staying with me several nights at the hospital and enduring those difficult first days with me - te quiero muchisimo. I want to thank Lori and Jennifer for the flowers they sent me - they sure make a difference in a hospital room :) Also the countless emails and text messages I received from everyone encouraging me to hang in there and all the prayers that have poured in from all over. I finally have to really, really, really thank Mami and Aileen for EVERYTHING! They are Thiago's biggest fans - I don't think I could have made it without them. They have in their own way gone through a lot and have been there for David, Thiago and I. I am one lucky girl!

Thats wonderful that he opened his eyes...and about the small setback, don't worry just keep thanking God for the miracle He has given you and David. Remember to proclaim every morning that Thiago is a healthy boy growing stronger every day and visualize him celebrating his 1st birthday...in Jesus name, Amen!!!
Love ya, Nora
